Penglipuran village is located at Bangli Regency, and counted as one of the most strategic place in Bali, as it is located at the centre of the Island. It will take you about 1,5 hour from Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, while if you want to explore Kintamani area, with their beautiful Batur Mount and Batur Lake, you just need 20 minutes from the village. There will be extra 15 minutes if you want to go to Toya Bungkah Natural Hotspring. If you want to go back to Denpasar, Sanur, Kuta, or Nusa Dua from Kintamani, then Ubud and its famous tourist destination is a must visit. But if you still want to explore the Eastern Bali, Besakih Temple, which is the biggest temple in Bali, is the next visit. Another alternative would be the Kerta Gosa area. For those who have limited time, going back to the Taman Nusa or Bali Safari and Marine Park would be the best option, as it only requires 30 minutes driving.
